Here are 6 general rules for taking off stains from Silk items.
- Treat quickly Acting quickly is the best option. Old stains are much more difficult to clean than fresh ones.
- Don't use commercial stain cleaner. Commercial stain cleaners will damage silk items permanently.
- Choose stain origin. Consider what kind of stain, and you can follow different steps accordingly.
- Try to remove a fresh stain. Try to use a paper towel, cotton balls, or other materials to absorb and drain out.
- Always test your solutions. Always test to apply it to a small and hidden area and then add it to the visible part of the silk when using a cleaning solution. And you will be sure that you are not damaging them while trying to dab the stain. Finally, try to use a clean & white cloth to dab.
- Don't be harsh. Although stains can be stubborn, silk is still a very delegated fabric and it should be treated as one. That is why you should never rub the stain, wring the silk items or be in any way harsh to it.

Carefully place a thin white towel, cloth or T-shit over the damp smoothened silk to protect it from shrinking.
- Iron the silk. Please move your iron slowly on the silk items if you like to remove the wrinkles. Prepare all the areas when you're ready to iron. Please be careful and do not stand for more than 5 seconds on a single fabric.
- Iron next fabric of silk. Please lift and protect the layer. Please be cautious with your silk items, and try to iron the other wrinkled fabric. And repeat the steps a few times.
- The Final step-Let it dry. It can be wet and hot after the silk items are free from wrinkles and rumples. Please hang the silk items right-side up and avoid direct sunlight exposure.
